About the Author

Charlie Johnson runs the Whistling Well Apple Farm in Basswood Grove, Minnesota, with his trusty dog, Emmy. Together they care for several thousand trees, a pumpkin patch, some beehives, and a collection of friendly farm animals, just outside of the Twin Cities. Each fall they welcome visitors to share the harvest bounty.

About the Illustrator

Barb Björnson’s favorite time of year is autumn, so she took extra joy in illustrating this charming apple farm story. Barb brings many picture books to life from her home studio in New Brighton, Minnesota, where she lives with her husband. She has two beautiful daughters, one wonderful son-in-law, and an adorable grandson who calls her “Amma,” which is the Icelandic word for “grandma.”
