Prison warden, Kitt Logan finds herself courting danger when a stolen identity poses a threat to her staff and the inmates assigned to the mental health unit of the prison.
Sean Byrnes, ex-convict with a grudge, seeks out and kills the psychiatrist who treated him while he was incarcerated in a Michigan prison. Byrnes takes the psychiatrist’s wallet, briefcase and other valuables. Byrnes then travels to Empalme, Arizona, where he assumes the doctor’s identity.

About the author
Janet Entzel was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 1974. During her tenure, she served on the Criminal Justice Committee. In 1984, she left elected office and accepted a managerial position in the administrative office of the Minnesota Department of Corrections (DOC). Having developed an interest in the criminal mind, she requested and received a mobility assignment at the adult, male prison in Lino Lakes, Minnesota. There she worked inside the walls and had direct contact with both staff and inmates.
Upon her return to the administrative office of the DOC, Ms. Entzel was the Assistant Commissioner of Legislative and Juvenile Services. Her focus was crime prevention and early intervention programs. She retired in 1999 and is living with her husband in Coon Rapids, Minnesota.
