The Twins at the Met captures the rich and colorful history of Minnesota Twins baseball at Metropolitan Stadium. Long before Target Field, and long before the Dome, there was the Met – Metropolitan Stadium in Bloomington, the initial home ballpark for the Minnesota Twins. It was Minnesota’s first taste of Major League Baseball in the great outdoors, and for 21 seasons, was complete with Hall of Fame performances, vivid characters and unpredictable weather. Through new interviews with legendary Twins players and staff, the book is packed with fond recollections and candid comments on the Met Stadium era. From Bob Allison to tailgaters, Bombo Rivera to the bomb scare and Rich Reese to the Beatles, the history is told by those who were there:
Harmon Killebrew • Rod Carew • Jim Kaat
